I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA and from Harvard Business School with an MBA.  Throughout the 1980s I focused on Hi-Tech manufacturing management in NY and in Silicon Valley, working for Kollmorgen, IBM and Siemens.  I began my sales career with IBM/Siemens in 1988.  In 1991 I moved to the food industry and have been working as a food importer and broker for the past 15 years.  In 2000 I formed a Joint Venture with BMT Commodity Corp.  This new entity, BMT Weiser LLC, imports lightly processed industrial food ingredients and has expanded into produce for both the fresh market and for juice processing and brewing.  BMT Weiser LLC sources from many parts of the world including China, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Turkey and the USA.

In 2004 my family life was transformed when my wife enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN).  Through her participation in the program and my appetite to learn how my family could lead healthier and happier lives, we have been introduced to a new world of unprocessed foods and new ways to live our lives and raise our children.

Now that I have seen the positive impact on my family and my wife's clients, I am called to action to build a business for companies to actively manage and reduce their health costs.  There is no need to passively accept healthcare cost increases.  Health issues including coronary disease, cancer as well as obesity and diabetes are skyrocketing and threaten the competitiveness of domestic businesses.  All of these issues can be powerfully and effectively addressed through our 6-month health coaching program.

Having worked for the food giant ConAgra, I recognize the challenge that we are up against.  Individuals require Wellness coaches to educate them on how to navigate the processed foods that food companies make so appealing, accessible and affordable.  I am inspired to take the health successes I have seen and extend the reach of this extraordinary health coaching program to companies both large and small.

I am 49 years old and have been married for 23 years.  My wife and I have 3 daughters under the age of 13.  I am delighted by their impassioned response to healthful eating and living.  I believe that we all crave the foods that we grew up with, so why not encourage our children to grow up craving the unprocessed foods that are good for them?  I am convinced that this is my role as a parent and business leader.  In our household we are fortunate to have started early, but I recognize that now is an ideal time for anyone to start.  Beyond my passion for wellness, I enjoy cooking and yoga and learning to sail with my daughters, while living amongst extended family.
